The 14th Annual Moshito Music Conference and Exhibition takes place from 6 to 9 September 2017 at Newtown Music Factory (Former Bassline). This year’s theme ‘Rhythms of The Ancients: look at how ancient rhythms and indigenous sounds of what made African music great still find resonance in today’s music, be it Gqom, Hip-hop, Jazz or Soul or Shangaan electro.
Moshito 2017 has lined-up a series of interesting topics, showcases and concerts where the music industry practitioners, musicians, festival promoters, booking agents, music managers, and exhibitors from, over 16 international music markets, will come together to interact, discover talent and strike music business deals necessary for the growth of the creative industries. With over 70 panelists, participating in over 8 topics - 2 breakaways, 5 plenaries, 1 workshops, as well as demo and music showcases, Moshito 2017 is poised to be a place where music meets business and business meets music.
